Eight-inch tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is protected by the standards of MIL-STD-810G and IP68


According to several sources, Samsung Netherlands presented a new Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet, designed and specially designed for business applications.

The main distinguishing feature of the novelty is the protected execution. The device is not simply protected by the IP68 standard (it is completely dustproof and withstands submersion in water to a depth of up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes), but it is also designed for harsh working conditions. The proof of the latter is the availability of the military standard MIL-STD-810G (Military Standard), which, among other things, talk about the ability of the device without negative consequences for performance to withstand falls from a height of up to 1.5 m. It will not be superfluous to note that the original model the degree of protection from external influences was much lower – IP56.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 screen has a diagonal of 8 inches and has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.

The device is based on the SoC Exynos 7870.

The device also received 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of flash memory, expandable with microSD cards (256 GB cards are supported), resolution cameras 8 and 5 Mp and battery capacity of 4450 mAh. By the way, it can be noted that the battery is removable and can be used to recharge other mobile devices.

There are three hardware mechanical keys under the screen in a row, including Home with a built-in fingerprint scanner.

In addition, the tablet is equipped with a pen S Pen and supports working with Bixby voice assistant (Bixby Voice voice control and Bixby Home home screen).

The Android OS is 7.1.1.

The novelty will be offered in two versions: only with Wi-Fi and in version with the support of LTE.

In the Netherlands for The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet will go on sale at the end of next month for a price starting at € 500. About other regions of data yet.
