NVIDIA held its own event at CES 2019, which made several announcements, presenting, in particular, the youngest model of the gaming family Turing video cards – GeForce RTX 2060. At a price of $ 350 for the Founders Edition version, the novelty, according to the developer, provides 1.4-2.0 times more performance depending on the application compared to its predecessor GeForce GTX 1060, which puts it in one level with the model GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. As expected, the GeForce RTX 2060 is based on a stripped-down version of the 12-nm TU106 graphics processor, on the full version of which the already well-known GeForce RTX 2070 is based. also 120 TMUs and 24 ROPs. The base frequency of the GPU is 1365 MHz, and the increased frequency in the Boost mode is 1680 MHz.
The card is endowed with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 14 GHz, which is connected to the GPU using a 192-bit bus. The capacity of the memory subsystem is 336 GB / s. That is, even more than the GeForce GTX 1080 (320 GB / s).
The performance of the GeForce RTX 2060 when ray tracing is 5 GigaRays / sec (gigabytes per second).
The adapter requires one eight-pin connector to be connected power supply, and the nominal TDP is 160 watts. In the reference NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 version, it occupies two expansion slots.
The following video outputs can be found on the double mounting plate: HDMI, DisplayPort (x3) and USB Type-C (VirtualLink).
In addition to the standard GeForce RTX 2060, as usual , there will also be various versions from GeForce RTX 2060 partners, and it will be possible to buy the new product starting January 15.
