It became known that ASUS company is working on the creation of 19 new motherboards based on the upcoming set of system logic Intel Z390 Express. It is a slightly modified version of the Z370 Express, it improves the power management mechanisms of the processor to cope with the overclocking of the 8-core chips of Whiskey Lake.
Thus, those consumers who want to assemble a new system based on Intel 9 generation and chipset 390 Express, will receive a large selection of motherboards. For the most demanding customers is the ROG Maximus XI series, which includes Maximus XI Hero models (including Wi-Fi modification), Maximus XI Code, Maximus XI Apex, Maximus XI Formula and Maximus XI Extreme. The ROG Maximus XI pre-launch series contains three motherboards in the ATX form factor: Strix-E, Strix-F and Strix-H. One model of the mini-ITX format, Strix-I, will also be available.
Prime's mass series will receive only three models: Prime Z390-A, Prime Z390M-Plus and Prime Z390-P. In the entry-level TUF Gaming line, you can choose from five motherboard models: TUF Z390M-Pro Gaming, TUF Z390M-Pro Gaming WiFi, TUF Z390-Plus Gaming, TUF Z390-Plus Gaming WiFi and TUF Z390-Pro Gaming. Finally, the Z390 Dragon model is designed for gaming establishments.
The presentation of Intel's 9th generation processors (Whiskey Lake) is expected to take place on August 1. At the same time, motherboards of partners, including ASUS models, should be presented.
