AMD announced Ryzen, Athlon and A-Series mobile processors for laptops in all market segments

On the eve of the opening of the CES 2019 exhibition, AMD announced a line of mobile processors of the 2019 lineup. Moreover, simultaneously announced different series of chips for laptops of all segments.

So, for the ultra-thin and gaming laptops is a line of mobile processors AMD Ryzen 3000 second generation. For the mass notebook segment, the AMD Athlon 300 series, and for the Chromebook, the seventh generation AMD A-Series series.

The new AMD Ryzen 3000 mobile processors are manufactured according to the standards of the 12-nanometer process and contain the integrated graphic solution Radeon Vega. They have high performance for smooth running of games and ensuring streaming of 4K HDR video stream. In this case, the chips are quite economical and allow laptops based on them to work up to 10 hours in video playback mode. As the manufacturer, the AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor allows you to edit video at 29% faster than the Core i7-8550U, and the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U chip copes with downloading sites 14% faster than the Intel Core i5-8250U. Ready laptops based on AMD Ryzen 3000 and AMD Athlon 300 processors based on Zen 3 architecture will go on the market in the first quarter of 2019. Additionally, it is noted that, starting from the first quarter of 2019, AMD intends to offer on its website regular updates of the Radeon Software Adrenalin software for all Ryzen processors with the Radeon Vega GPU. This will provide timely support for new games and features, as well as improved performance and stability.

AMD also announced the seventh generation AMD A-Series mobile processors, which will allow them to create productive and efficient Chromebooks. New chips have several advantages over competing solutions. For example, the AMD A6-9220C chip provides a 23% increase in performance in surfing, while editing photos by 42% and a 3.2-fold increase in productivity when working with email compared to the Intel Pentium N4200. At the same time, there is a performance increase of 24% when working with web applications, 74% when working with office applications and 43% when using web gaming compared to Celeron N3350.
