Beautiful Fall
This autumn has been more spectacular than any I can remember. Its been absolutely beautiful. According to the evening news, we’re in peak folliage right now. I know that the roads north of here, in New Hampshire were packed over the weekend.
Today is my 13th wedding anniversary. Holy cow. 13 years seems like an awfully long time. Last night my mother-in-law watched the kids while we had a nice dinner at a restaurant that was totally inappropriate for a passle of kids. We had a good italian meal with some nice wine. It was good.
But we didn’t really do anything else. We did a little shopping and then went home.
Tonight I have to take the boys to scouts and determine our plans for the weekend. The scouts aren’t terribly interested in having brand new 11-year-olds firing any of the weapons at the rifle range. This would include Gabe. I offered to keep a special eye on just them. Really there are only two of them and they’re both good kids. I’m sure they would be fine. So I think I will spend most of Saturday at the Danvers gun club with the scouts stupidvising the boys and the guns. Then, in the afternoon I would return home to get a shower and take the little woman out for a show.
For the last two years I have had to reschedule our anniversary plans because of scouts, so I couldn’t do it this year - I promised not to.
So the boys would camp out with the scouts at the gun range. Its supposed to be cold that night - 35 I think. I would really prefer to be there WITH them on this camp out but I promised I wouldn’t let scouts get in the way this year.
