She thought he was nuts, too.”

This is a longish (10min) segment that comes in response to Condi Rice’s assertion that no comprehensive plan was left behind and the overall blame that the republicans are laying at the feet of Clinton. I’m glad he’s not letting them get away with it. Watch the segment, its really quite good.

2. I’ve been listening to the Dog Whisperer for the last day or two. The book-on-tape is not as interesting as I think his TV show must be. Nonetheless he offers some general insights that I think can help me in training Buckaroo and retraining Peterman. Nonetheless, I think I’ll go back and listen to the Monks of New Skeete again.

Sphere: Related ContentThe weekend was good. On Sunday we went to King Richard’s Faire - a rennesaince festival in Carver, MA.
It rained off and on throughout saturday and we heard that althought they were forecasting rain for Sunday too, it wouldn’t arrive until late int he day. So we hustled over there and had a really good time. We saw a good acrobat/comedy show and I had a glass of mead. Ben purchased an odd looking Robin Hood style cap. We had a good lunch of somewhat mideval fare. I’m not sure if they french fried potatos then or drizzled cheese sauce on them. Gabe had a giant smoked turkey leg and I enjoyed the flavor of medieval pad thai. I’m not sure if it was authentic or not, but it was tasty.
I’ll write more later - suffice it to say we had a good time and I would recommend it to anyone.

So it looks like Bush and congress hammered out a “compromise” in which Dubya gets to continue torturing people and congress agrees not to holler.
This is complete bullshit! I read the NY Times article on the agreement and it didn’t make any sense. It looks more and more like Senators McCain, Warner and Graham are just covering their own asses to make sure congress doesn’t support torture. But that’s not their job. They need to be doing what’s in the best interest of the USA and not engaging in some kind of CYA.
In their press conference they made it sound like this was a victory for the for the forces of good who won’t permit torture. But its not. Its a complete failure. Bush gets to define what’s acceptable under his administration and Congress agreed to butt out.
Dumbshits.
This is terrible.

I love to hear that.
Now its been independently confirmed.
I rock.
