The weather looks awful outside. It snowed about an inch last night then freezing rain fell for a couple of hours and now I think that’s changed over to rain. And its, like only 33 degrees.
And the clouds are so dark and heavy that it looks like night. I keep waiting for daybreak but I know its not coming. I suppose in a few hours the dim light will wane and it will just get even darker.
No fricken-wonder people like to light xmas trees and decorate houses at this time of year! Its miserable out there!

But I hate performance reviews. I feel like I’m being judged — which I am! Its all about judging me. Although my reviews are always good I always get bent out of shape over them.
I’m setting my goals for next year now. I just spent the last two hours setting goals for next year and hated every minute of it. its not as bad as sitting through the torture of someone else evaluating my performance, but it still sucks.
Nonetheless, I’m glad they’re a part of this company’s policies. At least this way I can pretend my raise has something to do with my actual performance. In the past performance reviews weren’t done at all. And even this was more honest than holding to the standard line about raises being tied to performance but only evaluating the performance AFTER the raises have been decided!
So, I guess all things considered its a necessary evil. I wonder if there isn’t some other way to do it though.
