Very briefly: all is well.
The project is 95% complete. Its complete enough that we parked two
cars on it tonight. The only thing left is really a technicality. We’re
going to seal the driveway, but that’s not strictly necessary.
Rodney especially put in a very long day. We picked up a concrete floor
grinder this morning at about 9am. I had put some spare carpet in the
back of Lizzie’s new car to protect it from a potentially hazardous
work-machine. We covered it in a tarp as well. In the end there were no
problems with the grinder.
I had to go back to the rental place a couple of times for more stones
over the next several hours.
Also, it turned out that there was a way to lower the grinder but we
didn’t know about it. We could have gotten more out of the stones if
we’d known that but it wasn’t a catastrophe.
I’ll post the remaining photos here in the next couple of days.
Tomorrow we’re going to do something having to do with Boston’s
Harborfest.
