How was the weekend?
The weekend was good. On Saturday Liz and I got a baby sitter to come over around 3pm and we went to Home Depot to look at garage doors. Pathetic, isn’t it? That we have to get a baby sitter so we can focus on choosing a new garage door.
Turns out that Home Depot doesn’t show doors any more. I wish we’d gone to Lowe’s instead. Afterwards we went to The Mens’ Warehouse where I got two three new shirts and two new ties. And let me tell you, they look GOOD. “Orlando” helped me and Liz pick out some really nice things. I’ll wear one of them to the wedding in a couple of weeks. I’ll probably wear something else to my upcoming job interview. More on that later. Clothes really help me to feel better about myself and I do better work when I dress up a little. I’ll see if I can get some photos to show you my schnazzy new duds.
We did end up going to Naked Fish for supper, though. That was a treat. Afterwards we browsed a mall and went to see “The Village“. Excellent movie. I enjoyed it quite a lot. And even if you think you know what the movie is about, you don’t.
Yesterday was very productive. I installed two new thermostats that I had picked up the day before. I cleaned out the garage and put up a new rack to hold sporting goods. Last week when the Sebring
was in the shop getting its wires straightened out the boys at Pine Banks must have not connected something correctly because ever since then I haven’t been able to get any ventilation out of the main cabin vents. So I drove my bike down to the repair shop, dropped the car off and then biked home. I rode the bike downtown and ran some erands afterwards. I know I got a lot of other stuff done. In the morning after I had some coffee, read some newspaper, fed the kids, myself and the guinnea pig I thought I would clean the pig’s cage. Afterwards I emptied the dishwasher, put the dirty things away and wiped the table. I thought it was time for a break. That’s when I saw it was only EIGHT O’CLOCK in the morning! It turned in to a long, but very productive day. We don’t come across those very often.
